During the election I was working at a polling place which was located in Sunrise Elementary School. I was working with two older woman and two teenagers and myself. Both of the ladies were fairly nice but at times it seemed to me that they would get a bit grouchy. The older ladies had worked at a polling place before and us being the teenagers had not, it was our first time, they were nice to me the whole time and also very helpful. The materials used at the polling place were these things called the ballot box where the people stood up and voted their choices. Then after being done voting there answers they would take it to the black ballot box where it would be scanned for any mistakes. This machine was also used to count how many voters we had. In addition, we had a roster which never worked and we had no idea why. We called in so they could come and fix it but they never did, also there was so many people voting and we only had five booths so we set up another table for the voters. There was a variety of people who came in to vote that day, the line was very long it wrapped along almost the whole building. The day started off very busy with several people coming into vote, it became fairly easy during noon and we also had time to eat lunch. Around three it started to get busy again until about seven fifty when we were all getting ready to close the poles. We had about 642 voters not including the ones that had not been passed through the black boxes, the reason for this is that they were not on our list to vote and had to go through a different process.
